Curry says Don’t Blame Iverson
What’s Going on World?
John W. Davis here. Coach Mike Curry has made it plain and simple. He says don’t blame Iverson, blame the team’s DEFENSE.
CURRY VIA FREEP:
CURRY: “A lot of times you look at that individual player,” Curry said. “But for the most part, except when he gambles, he’s been solid for us defensively.”
Detroit is 7-9 with Iverson in the lineup.
IVERSON: “I already know that the bull’s-eye is going to be on me regardless of what happens on this team, because I’m here,” Iverson said. “But all you got to do is go back and watch the games and see what goes on in the game, and then you can make your assumption if it has anything to do with one player or has anything to do with all the players.”
WHO ARE YOU BLAMING?
Peace,
John W. Davis

Right now, Curry’s coaching is kind of to blame.
I’m still not over the DNP’s for Jason, Amir, and Kwame.
We played a small lineup the whole game — even when he saw it wasn’t working.
Basketball is a game of adjustments. When things aren’t going well, you adjust. Curry needs to learn when you’re supposed to make those adjustments.

I’m starting to think (and i hate to say this) our team just isn’t that good this year.
Our bench isn’t living up to it’s potential and neither are our starters. Just a thought????

1. I’m going to blame the Overall rotation.
2. The Defense.
I think we need to make sure everyone plays every time. Players have different energy levels each game. See who is hot in the 1st half and ride them home like we were doing with Walter Hermmann at the start of the season.
I think the team is good but we need major major adjustments.

Science is to blame!
The team has no chemistry, they need to learn physics all over again (if you don’t throw the ball to a player on your team, it’s not going to get to them, er: Tuesday’s Pistons-Wizards game) and the biological make-up is off (I feel like we have too many shorties on the team!)
Seriously though, I love the Pistons but they are disappointing me this year

This is probably the first time in over 2 weeks I actually agree with Curry. Defense has been an issue with our team with this season, but Curry’s lack of coaching experience and knowledge has hurt us much worse.
Major adjustments do NOT need to be made; players and coaches need to just look in the mirror and start playing and coaching like they know they can. Nothing more, nothing less.
