Do you want Amare or Chris Bosh?

What’s Going on World?

Rumors are swirling in the NBA and the Detroit Pistons are they eye of the storm.

First it was Amare to the Pistons. Now. its Chris Bosh to the Pistons.

Can we have both?

No seriously, can we have both. Follow me here: Three team trade: Detroit, Toronto and Phoenix.

Detroit trades: AI, Sheed, Max and 1st round Pick.

Toronto trades: Chris Bosh and Kris Humphries

Phoenix trades: Amar’e and Grant Hill (Stoudemire would welcome Detroit trade)

Now this is what every team gets back in return.

Phoenix gets Sheed and Maxiell. They get a starting compliment to Shaq and a beast inside off the bench who will compete every night.

Toronto gets AI and 1st round pick. Think about it. Jermaine O’neal wants to be the man inside. Bargnani is actually really good when he starts. They have Calderon at PG and Jamario Moon and Anthony “Candace Parker’s Brother” Parker at SF. All they need is that star 2-guard someone who wants to be the man.

Toronto is a city that would embrace Allen Iverson. I believe Allen Iverson would embrace Toronto and retire a Happy NBA Hall of Famer. If it doesn’t work out they will have 20+ million in cap room.

Detroit gets Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh, Grant Hill and the throw in Kris Humphries. It sounds crazy but is it really? Detroit has cap space. Detroit has other great perimeter players in Stuckey, Rip and Tay. All we need is a beast post player. Someone who wants dunk on you every time. No questions asked and definitely no apologies. (*Also how cool would it be to bring Grant Hill home!)

How about not one of those players but two?

That’s not only the perfect deal but its also the perfect inside storm.

Peace,

John W. Davis

Oh man, that would be so sweet if that happens.

My only concern is what Toronto gets. AI and a 1st rounder for their franchise player? Seems a little low. Probably have to add Amir and maybe Affalo.

Another thing is that neither Amare or Bosh are centers. Just sayin’.

Oh, and you didn’t say where Grant Hill is getting traded to.

Steve February 8th at 7:11 pm

Here’s your proposed trade, via ESPN’s Trade Machine (assuming Grant Hill goes to Detroit):

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=336~1727~366~2775~883~1977~2433&teams=8~8~28~21~21~8~8&te=&cash=

Richard February 8th at 8:23 pm

I was thinking amare would bring this team together, but both? that would be something

John February 8th at 11:59 pm

Thanks Steve. You are right Grant Hill to the D baby!

Steve February 9th at 12:08 am

No problem John!

I love playing around with that thing.

I think this trade is more realistic from Toronto’s viewpoint:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=3041~336~1727~366~2769~2775~3458~883~3454~3465~1977~2759~2433~2790&teams=8~8~8~28~28~21~28~21~21~28~8~21~8~21&te=&cash=28:8

Darian February 9th at 12:48 am

wow this seems like so unreal to me.. lol.. but it would be completely amazing!

TADOne February 9th at 10:43 am

PIPE DREAM!

Sorry, i’m a bit negative today (been fighting a cold/flu/upper respitory infection/runny nose/cough for 3 weeks now. I’m sick of being sick!

Anyway, what report do you have on Bosh to the Pistons, John? Just wondering because I haven’t seen one. Got a link?

John February 9th at 1:35 pm

@ Steve K. I think Toronto would take that trade with Amir. Remember they have J O’neal and they also have Bargnani would is a must start player if Bosh is traded.

I’m glad I have you on the bandwagon Steve!

John February 9th at 1:38 pm

@TAD. Here is your Bosh to Detroit trade link: http://www.mlive.com/pistons/index.ssf/2009/02/chris_bosh_remains_a_possibili.html

TAD, my man, I’m a trained journalist! I always have my sources!

TADOne February 9th at 1:52 pm

John: I actually already read that link. All Blakely says is that the Pistons would/should look to sign Bosh as a free agent in 2010. I thought you had a rumor that Toronto was actually considering trading him before then. Highly disappointing.

I do think Toronto should look into trading Bosh, though. They aren’t going anywhere and Bosh will probably be bolting if the losing in TO continues.

Either way, Dumars needs to go after what is already available: Amare! Who, if used correctly, is better than Bosh. Yeah, I said it.

John February 9th at 2:04 pm

Actually Toronto is thinking about trading Bosh for Amare. I just see Toronto and Phoenix and Detroit as prime three way trade partners. My intuition tells me that Bosh is on the block just as much as Amare. The Toronto GM Colangelo is just not stupid enough to air it publicly like Steve Kerr.

AI for Bosh. It’s what Toronto needs. I know they want to sell tickets and jerseys. AI is the man for that. Basketball is a business!

TADOne February 9th at 2:39 pm

Yeah, I saw that rumor too. I also saw a rumor that Paxson was offering Gooden, Thabo, Thomas, Gordon, the Jordan statue, Pete Myers kidneys, and a first round pick for Amare.

You can pretty much hear any rumor this close to the trade deadline.

John February 9th at 3:06 pm

no one wants those scrubs from Chi-town. They would be better off getting Biedrins, Maggette and Brandan Wright something like that from Golden State.

Chicago is trash. Hell why dont they get Larry freakin Hughes too!

Mike Watson February 9th at 3:23 pm

For some reason when the Pistons lose now I dont feel mad or disappointed anymore. Like I’m almost getting used to it.

Is that bad?

John February 9th at 3:29 pm

It might be time to accept the inevitable. We need this Amare, Bosh or both trade bad! If we don’t get this trade its time to get used to losing.

Teams are saying this about the Pistons ” They are who we though we were! And We

    didnt

let them off the hook!”

TADOne February 9th at 3:33 pm

Come on John! What happened to your “best record in the league in the 2nd half!” optimism?

Seriously though, we do need to do something.

Darian February 9th at 4:10 pm

mike, i am feeling the exact same way….

Steve February 9th at 5:06 pm

I think Toronto has great interest in trading Bosh. His team is 2nd to last in the East and there seems to be little room for improvement.

Why would the Raptors wait till 2010 for Bosh to leave? Might as well trade him while they can get something in return.

Richard February 9th at 5:20 pm

why do you guys have blue names

TADOne February 9th at 5:30 pm

Richard: If you add a link in the Website URL when you post, your name will be highlighted in blue.

John February 9th at 9:57 pm

Hey Ill come out and say I was wrong lol. Ill admit. I hope the Pistons admit it as well and try to salvage this season and get one of the 2010 Free Agent in the next week or so!

John February 9th at 9:59 pm

@Richard. I gave you a blue name. Do you feel special now?

Mike Watson February 10th at 12:17 am

@ Tadone Really! I didnt’ know that! AWWWW its onnn now!!! :D

Darian February 10th at 11:24 am

TADOne February 10th at 3:17 pm

John W. Davis February 11th at 10:28 am

Twitter is where its at!

Richard February 11th at 4:32 pm

I’m goin’ to the game to night…to watch us lose (if we lose i will spaz)

TADOne February 11th at 5:14 pm

Richard, I half expect to lose now. I think i’m done getting worked up over this team. Just try and enjoy the game. Josh Smith, Joe Johnson, and Al Horford are pretty good.

Marcus February 11th at 6:27 pm

ok, back to topic….

Do you want Amare or Chris Bosh?

I love the idea of getting Chris Bosh much more! His workattidue is better than Amares. But idon’t see the chance of trade AI in a one-way trade with Toronto… (because of the salaries…) I would be really happy, if we could trade AI for Chris Bosh… I think it’s better than trading Rasheed to pheonix…

so hope the guys will win tonight… i go to bed for 2 hours… peace!

John February 12th at 1:20 am

Spaz Rich Spaz. I went to the game and I’m still pissed. Its 3 hours later! You know what I’m over it until they play defense.

Ryan February 12th at 1:33 am

<— I’m blue now.

Because of tonight’s game.

Much needed All-Star break ahead.

John February 12th at 3:54 am

At least the Dunk contest and Horse competition will be fun!

TADOne February 12th at 10:57 am

Yeah, i’m done with these guys and the lackadaisical attitude towards defense.

Mike Watson February 12th at 2:17 pm

I didnt even watch the game last nite. Looks like thats a good thing judging from all the comments. I can’t take anymore upsets and let downs. That Chicago had me so freakin P.O.’d that I prolly would of broke my T.V. if I watched the game last nite.

By the way did A.I. play?

John February 12th at 2:23 pm

Yes he played. He had 28 but about 8 of it was after we were down 7 with 2 mins to go. He played well for being sick. (He had the flu earlier in the week.)

Ryan February 14th at 1:20 pm

I tried the new NBA Trade Machine on ESPN. While I’d hate to see ‘Sheed go, a three way deal with Toronto and Phoenix was successful.

Detroit gets:
Chris Bosh
Amar’e Stoudemire

Phoenix gets:
Rasheed Wallace
Kris Humphries

Toronto gets:
Allen Iverson
Draft Pick

John February 14th at 1:29 pm

We need to get Grant Hill in on that trade! You are messing up my vision!

Ryan February 14th at 2:50 pm

Ryan February 14th at 4:31 pm

I don’t think Toronto will trade Bosh now.

Toronto just traded Jermaine O’Neal and Jamario Moon to the Heat for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.

Darian February 14th at 5:11 pm

yah i dont think they will either.

John February 14th at 6:06 pm

Yes we are out for Bosh unless Bosh publicly says Im not coming back to Toronto. Good news of all this is, Miami is out now and they were a Top team going for Amare. We have a much better shot at him now!

Its either Chicago Memphis or Detroit now.

Ryan February 14th at 10:02 pm

Can I trade Michael Curry to the Detroit Shock for Bill Laimbeer?

John February 15th at 1:43 pm

Good Trade Ryan. Bill was my Coach from Day 1.

Darian February 16th at 4:28 pm

bill has them ladies winnin championships left and right!!! or maybe its just the players actually wanting it and putting forth the effort???

Mike Watson February 16th at 4:49 pm

Its probably Bill he has a die hard winning attitude. Plus he’s a true bad boy!

John February 16th at 7:27 pm

I think its Bill. I think he is the constant. They only win every 2-3 years. I feel like the players have a let down and Bill gets them up for the challenge again.

Darian February 16th at 10:31 pm

yah that showed a lot when cheryl ford tore her ACL last season and they looked doubtful to win the championship but got the job done…

John February 17th at 12:34 am

I am so with Ryan. I would take Bill right now, Today at 11:34 PM Eastern Standard Time to be our Coach. Sorry Coach Curry I wanted Bill right after Flip!
