I know you did Mike W. I appreciate it. Its not my fault tho. I mean come on how easy would it have been to make a trade. Anyway Amare is out for the rest of the regular season now with a severe eye injury. So who knows man....

Thanks TAD!!!! (NOT) Anyway, I will admit I was wrong. I really thought they would make the most of everyone else's paranoia about the economy.

Yeah, the Pistons didn't make any moves. Can't say I blame them.

Luckily they will be way under the cap this summer so not only can they sign free agents but can absorb other players' contract. Remember what happened when Denver gave away Camby to LAC.

Maybe if Iverson would've played with a fro like this, he would've had the defensive intensity of Ben Wallace the Piston!

Tyson is an underachiever. He just doesn't want it. He is so tall but hardly blocks shots. He should get 13-14 every game. He should dominate. But he doesnt. NEXT PLAYER!!!!!

Well, because Tyson just failed a physical because of an old toe injury. I don't want a player who will be injury prone.

Ok Tyson Chandler is out there now. He's a great defensive presence why not try to pick him up and then try to get another free agent big man in 2010? Dont know if it's possible or why it wouldn't work. Let me know.

Yeah John, Boozer is something I don't even want to consider. I mean, when healthy, he can be a consistent 20/10 every single night. However, I just don't trust his injury history nor his character.

Steve: I love David Lee. I hope his sudden nightly double/double's aren't a direct result of playing under Mike D'Antoni and more of a reflection of a player just finally getting playing time. Thing is, I wouldn't want to pay Lee $10+ mil a year either.

As for Odom: he can be good, REALLY good, when motivated. However, I don't want another Sheed who plays good when the moment hits him.

TADOne,

I think David Lee could be a real option. NY is so focused on 2010 that they won't/can't afford to pay him $10+ million a year for 4-5 years or so.

Odom....that's interesting. Never really thought about him before. I think that depends on how Bynum is when he comes back.

And I think a run can be made for Bosh over the summer or beginning of next season, hopefully.

The cap room is key. I dont want Boozer he is so injury prone its not even funny. I would go for Artest, David Lee, or Odom. I really like Odom. He's talented and finally started to figure out he can dominate on the boards as evidenced by his recent play after Bynum has went down.

Ok John, i'll bite. Yes, if the Suns are still interested in trading Amare before Thursday because they are losing money, then I will be on here tomorrow to praise your genious.

However.......

...if this doesn't happen, let's look at options for all of this money coming off the books:

Trades: Bosh(if he is truly fed up), Amare(we won't have any trade options left), Brand(see both above).

Free Agents: Boozer(um, not a fan, but may not have another option), Millsap(restricted; have to see which way Utah goes), Artest(did hell freeze over?), Marvin Williams(either him or Tay have to move to PF so no), David Lee(would love to have him, but he is restricted and the Knicks won't let him leave), Lamar Odom(only if he is cheap).

Anyway, there are names i'm purposely leaving out because they don't matter. Discuss....

Well one good thing is that with all these other trades, Detroit is now the clear-cut leader in cap space this summer by far.

Hopefully Dumars has a great plan for all that money.

WHOA! John, are you seriously comparing young Amit to Jermaine O'Neal? I love you man, but you may need to scale back the liquid lunches.

As for Amare: yeah, i'm sure Sarver will be making a deal for Stoudemire...after the season. Since Gentry is now the coach, I think he waits until the offseason to move him.

@David C. Whats up man! The Bucks game hurt. Two times in 2 weeks is hard to swallow. The Bucks dont have Mike Redd, Bogut or Ridnour and they still take it to the hoop at will. This is ridiculous!

I think we make the Playoffs but you are right ITS TIME TO DEVELOP THE BENCH BABIES!

@TAD Dude Amare is on the market. Hell Shaq is too. Robert Sarver the Suns owner doesnt like to lose money. They know they arent winning a Championship so they are willing to make a monetary deal.

It took Jermaine O'neal 6 years to be good. Amir is ahead of that curve!

After getting beat by the Bucks, (THE BUCKS? Really?) I almost think that this season is a lost cause. I think they should keep playing Amir so he can develop. May as well develop more young guys, and see if some of the vets (Sheed, AI, Rip) can be moved by the deadline. Do the Pistons, currently comprised, make the playoffs? Probably. Do they do anything worth noting? Probably not.
