Episode 95: The “A.I.” Team aka The Second Unit
What’s Going on Pistonscast Posse?
We all know that Allen Iverson is (supposedly) willing to go to the bench. Oh yeah, Episode 95 is here!
For Allen to be effective, we can’t just treat him like Rip. What I mean is I don’t want AI out there with Stuckey or even out there with Rip for any significant time. AI and Stuck and AI and Rip just don’t mix. AI not only needs but wants to be AI, so he needs four other players who will help him to play his game.
With all of that said, name your 5, including AI.
What’s your perfect AI-Team?
Wait, Wait, Wait.
I have a few stipulations.
-You must include at least 3 bench players.
-You can have up to one other Pistons starter on the court with AI.

i kno thats not afflalos primary spot… but i think that he will be able to get the ball to ai more effectively than bynum.. i think when u have ai out there you have to have some shooters around the perimeter to like tay and aa
i like brown and maxiell on the floor before amir because i like their size, toughness, and boards!

I love Arron Afflalo, but i hate Small Ball and i love having a real PG on the floor! With Rip and AI in the roster, i cant find playing time for both (will/arron).

My first substitution will be McDyess in the first quater (after 7-9 minutes) and i would give amir some playing time. And in the second quater we will have our second unit out there with Antonio!

First off John, AI and Stuckey don’t clash on the court. But since you insisted you didn’t want AI out there with either him or Rip, i’ll give you this 5:

Tay (he kind of has to be out there)
Hermann
McDyess
I know this is a smallish lineup, but these are 4 good defenders out there with AI.

If you put both Bynum and AI in at the same time, you will get killed by bigger guards. If Tay is in there, he can bring it up just as easy.

I like Bynum in there simply for setting up AI. I dont want AI bringing the ball up the court. I can understand the Tay thing tho he can also bring the ball up.

ya i was there, it was so fun. I had the meijer free ticket zone tickets so i was in one of the top rows but at half time me and my dad managed to get by the ticket checker people by the lower level and we got seats that were 15 rows up from the court for FREE. it was sweet cause you could hear them talking and swearing and stuff
