Pistons Plan: Make LeBron James Sweat

There are no tricks we’re going to add,” Rasheed Wallace said. “Just straighten on up.”

James scored 38 in the series opener.

“We didn’t make him take the shots we wanted him to take,” Curry said. “He got eight (of his 13) baskets in the paint and he was 11-for-14 at the free-throw line. That pretty much sums it up. We have to keep him out of the paint more than that.”

“He’s very tough when he puts his mind to it,” center Zydrunas Ilgauskas said Sunday when asked if James was impossible to cover. “He can do everything on the floor, including passing. You pick your poison. Teams want to give him different looks. He’s seen everything.”

Think so Rich? Whats your key?

Richard April 21st at 5:56 pm

i dont know i was just trying to be optimistic

Astrid April 21st at 8:38 pm

Now that’s amusing Richard. :o

Can you give me belief John?

I see all these people abandoning our team and I lose hope slowly. I love(d) Detroit for their fundamentals and they’re starting to slip. :[

Save me~

Astrid April 21st at 10:24 pm

If Curry replaces this energetic bench team I’m gonna castrate him. @_@;

dre April 22nd at 3:59 am

You see Will Bynum force coachBrown to bring those starters Back in. I hope Curry seen how much more effective he was than Rodney.

TADOne April 22nd at 12:56 pm

What a sad performance. Hey, I want Curry to live up to what he said when he got the job. He mentioned that any player who doesn’t give effort will be sitting on the bench next to him. I say do exactly that game 3; if players are slacking off in the 1st quarter, bench the entire bunch and bring in Bynum, Amir, Maxiell, Afflalo, and Kwame. I’m sick and tired of this crap fest of effort the Pistons starters are putting up from game to game.

Also another trade proposal:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=df232w

And then sign Ron Artest (someone had to stop Pierce and Lebron).

Stuck-Rip-Artest-Bosh-Kwame

Or maybe go after Millsap IF Boozer doesn’t opt out of his final year.

John April 22nd at 11:58 pm

Cool Fan Post Steve!

Steve April 23rd at 12:46 am

Thanks John!

Man, Chauncey sure is making Joe D look silly right now.

John April 23rd at 6:23 am

Chauncey will fail the Nuggets when they need him most. I GARUN SHEED IT!

TADOne April 23rd at 10:12 am

John, I doubt that. If the Nugs fail, I can’t see it being because of Billups. Dude is playing better than he did in 2004.

John April 23rd at 10:36 am

Psshhh you wait and see. A quick PG like Tony Parker will eat him for Breakfast Brunch Lunch Lunch-ner Dinner Supper and a Midnight Snack!

And before you say “but john Chris Paul is fast”.

I say to you But TAD the Hornets are a one man show with no true post threat or even a slashing wing threat.

Its the Chris Paul and the Spot Up Jumper Show. :(

TADOne April 23rd at 2:50 pm

You knew my answer before I typed it. Very nice. However, your logic is flawed. How, you say? Well, the Spurs may not even get past the Mavs in the first round. Even if they do, without Manu, i’ll give the edge to the Nugs. Also, TP will also struggle to guard Chauncey on the other end of the court. It’s not like Parker dominated Billups in previous meetings when they played each other.

Ryan April 23rd at 10:54 pm

I’m rooting for the Pistons in the East and the Nuggets in the West.

Chauncey has totally changed Denver for the better this season.

Iverson brought the Pistons down this season.

Chauncey felt the team still had a championship run in it the way it was constructed; I guess we’ll never know now.

GO PISTONS.

John W. Davis April 24th at 6:58 am

UH NBA FINALS? PISTONS V. SPURS… WHO WON? DA SPURS!

Deven (aka Pimpsqwalla) April 24th at 11:47 am

For the record…I LOVE CHAUNCEY BILLUPS! Always have. His problem was a problem that many NBA ballers have. He had nothing to prove. He just wasn’t motivated anymore. Now look at him! Where in the hell was all this scoring the last four years when we needed it!! He went back to being the player his was against the Lakers in 04. He has something to prove. Too bad he couldn’t stay motivated for the team he supposedly love so damn much. But hey…staying die-hard all the time is a tough thing to do, but it can be done, just ask Isiah Thomas.
