How do Pistons fans really feel?

This is the week to get our true feelings off our chest.

Don’t hold anything back!

The feelings of John W. Davis: “I’m glad we lost. I’m glad we got swept.  Hopefully this exposes all of the players that don’t DESERVE to be Pistons anymore!”

As for anyone who thinks we should have kept Chauncey: Episode 104 is here!

Also make sure you check out  Deven’s timely Chauncey Billups rant!

Chauncey will let the city of Denver and the State of Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana (and every other Mountain West Conference State without a NBA team) down, just you wait and see!

I WAS EXTREMELY PISSED.. but whatever im over it now! one thing i was really mad about is it is so true the fouls were so bogus they were pathetic! but lets be ready for next year! as for CHAUNCEY! HEY NOW! i hope he goes all da way! im sportin my Billups shirt lately ONLY cuz the pistons are out! … my basketball coach was talkin to me today right.. and he was like darian your seem pre good considering the fact that the PISSSSSSStons are out! and im like ya ya whatever man.. and he’s like what was dumars thinkin gettin your boy outta there and im like we wouldnt of gotten better .. we wouldnt get pass the ecf and it would do us noo good! and hes like yah but chauncey is a stud and im like yeah he’s playin like it but u just wait the stones will be back!!! im like he didnt play in detroit like he did now he’s a cancer to us .. we dont need him! so anyways he’ll always be my favorite player but this is the right thing for the pistons! brighter days in the future for piston fans all around the WORLD!!

Darian (with tears filling my pretty brown eyes), this is my overall favorite take of yours. (sniffing uncontrollably now) You show what a true Detroit Pistons fan really is all about. Although you love C-Billz, you still love the Red, the white, and the blue MORE. You will not allow one player to come between you and your favorite team. I’m proud to say that i’m the same way. No one player is bigger than the game and I would never trade my team for NO ONE, except LEBRON JAMES!. I’m just kidding…sorta.

Darian April 29th at 11:49 pm

Ha! THANX DEVEN!! :)

Astrid April 30th at 8:51 am

I keep hearing the LeBron’ topic.

Just a small snippet that I remembered listening to Episode 104 (good show by the by :D). Y’know those ‘24 seconds with… ‘.

They did a 24 seconds with LeBron and one of the questions was “Where do you enjoy playing most?”. His answer was…

The Palace of Auburn Hills!

On-topic, my healing process begun with me sticking needles into a LeBron doll. :P

Astrid April 30th at 8:51 am

Oh, forgot to mention.

Thanks very much for the inclusion in the show. :O

Wasn’t expecting it!

Thanks guys for the shout out. The reason why I brought up the michael thing was because I have spent some time watching clips of old finals games. If you look at what was considered a foul in the bad boys era and what was considered a foul by the time Jordan went on his second 3-peat, its like comparing Shaq to Verajo - ones the real thing and the other’s splenda.

As for giving up on the NBA, I was just mad at the Cavs sweep, I’ll still watch until the last second like I used to. Next season should be much more enjoyable

Steve April 30th at 6:44 pm

Thanks for the shoutout guys!

Regarding Chauncey, I mostly meant that everyone ELSE thinks that Chauncey is making Joe D look silly.

I’ve heard a lot of people say that Chauncey is playing w/ a chip on his shoulder (etc) since he was traded, and I agree. No way that the Chauncey in Denver right now would be the same Chauncey had he not been traded.

But it seems like most people don’t recognize that and are quick to criticize Joe D. I watched his press conference. It was impressive. Like I’ve said, if Joe D can get a big-time player this summer, then it will have been worth it.

Steve April 30th at 6:54 pm

Haha, and the Twitter update (or “tweet”) you guys referred to was this one:

Good times at the Palace for Game 4
:(
Not.

John W. Davis April 30th at 10:21 pm

@ Steve you are hilarious. You need to make an appearance this summer on Pistonscast!

Steve April 30th at 10:55 pm

haha, Yeah, that’d be awesome!

Ryan April 30th at 11:57 pm

Chauncey received the Joe Dumars Trophy upon being the 2008-2009 NBA Sportsmanship Award winner.

You guys should do a live show of Pistonscast sometime on http://www.Ustream.tv! You could even have a live call-in segment!

John W. Davis May 1st at 6:35 am

@Ryan I saw Chauncey won that award. I dont know how to feel about it…

John W. Davis May 1st at 6:36 am

@Ryan Deven and I are going to check this out. We are working on Pistonscast videos for May!

This is an awesome idea!

Ali Hassani May 1st at 6:54 pm

well I can’t see any reason why Chauncey shouldn’t deserve the award, but I’m with you on this one: I really have no idea what to take on this one. Most likely his jersey will be retired because he did not leave on his own accord, but still, he plays for Denver and has torched us in both games

David C. May 3rd at 10:54 am

I miss Piston defense. I know that not signing Ben Wallace was the right thing to do, but I think the Pistons miss what he brought to the team in his prime. I hear a lot of buzz here in Chicago about the Pistons being interested in Tyson Chandler. I see potential here. Any thoughts in Pistonscasst land?

Ali Hassani May 3rd at 4:25 pm

the thing with chandler is not whether we can get him, I’m sure that if Joe called up the hornets (or more likely returned a call from the hornets) we’d have him in a heartbeat

The difficulty with Chandler is that as good as a young defensive center he is, Chandler has dealt with a good number of injuries. I think that with Chris Bosh in the front line then there should not be any issues because a lot of the pressure will be taken off of him. However if that ankle or toe flares up and for some reason Rasheed is our only scoring big next year, you can count us out of the playoffs

Deven (aka Pimpsqwalla) May 4th at 1:37 pm

Good take Ali. Chandler isn’t someone you depend on to carry a team. But paired with the right type of player in the middle(Chris Bosh), I think his youth, size, and what we know he’s capable of on the defensive end can really make Detroit tough as hell in the paint. If you know you got a low post killer like Chris Bosh coming to the glass, you get a guy like Tyson Chandler to help you keep it clean.

Ali Hassani May 5th at 8:21 pm

Exactly. So getting Tyson Chandler alone won’t make or break the team’s chances of a title, but pairing him with a good PF will. Besides this team could use another good offensive rebounder beyond Jason Maxiell and honestly I couldn’t ask McDyess to return here, he’s earned himself a ring. I hope that either LA, Cleveland or whoever the next big name is signs him
