i read the OTL article on espn about the chauncey-a.i. trade and i’m stunned. the coaches couldnt even look at chauncey, and JOE WTF show some respect to the guy you just traded, the least you could do was look at the guy. i seriously lost some respect for the front office after reading that.

scroll down near the bottom to read about the trade.

heres what it says:

The talks are finalized before the team flies to Charlotte, and, on the flight, Chauncey can tell he’s being ignored. “He notices Joe and none of the coaches can even look at him,” Ray says. “And that’s when he knows something is wrong.”

When the flight lands, he chats with Antonio McDyess, who tells him about the impending trade. It isn’t official yet, but the Pistons have filled McDyess in, because they need to trade his salary to balance the deal. They tell him that Denver will waive him, and they’ll want to re-sign him. But they tell Chauncey nothing.

Chauncey was silent for the Pistons against Daniel Gibson too!

John W. Davis May 11th at 10:50 pm

He was silent against Rondo and Boston too!

Ali Hassani May 12th at 6:29 am

Definitely the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while. What’s supposed to be the point of it though?

Richard May 12th at 7:25 am

It’s just a story of his life and it includes the trade

TADOne May 12th at 10:33 am

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I read that article on Chauncey as well. The front office seemed to disrespect him by not confronting him face to face. Definitely lost some respect for the Pistons organization for that move. Then again, it is just Chauncey’s side of the story.

Another interesting thing the article pointed out was just how upset Rip truly was after the trade. He mentioned how he would have never signed the extension and wanted to be traded as well. He mentioned wanting to be traded again after Curry sent him to the bench. With his play and overall demeanor this season, I think Dumars should definitely shop Rip around the league. Probably wouldn’t be any takers, but I would still look into it.

As for this commercial: was that really supposed to be Kobe?

Darian May 12th at 10:52 am

I LOVE CHAUNCEY! I MISS HIM SOOO MUCH ON THE PISTONS TEAM :( GO ALL THE WAY CBILLS!!!

John W. Davis May 12th at 10:56 am

The Commercial is a Calm Kobe cause he always goes to the playoffs and a Hyped up Lebron cause he just won MVP and is always super geeked up to play!

TADOne May 12th at 11:28 am

I got that, but that puppet didn’t remind me anything of Kobe. It was kinda funny, but still.

John W. Davis May 12th at 1:12 pm

TAD the puppet was all nonchalant, very cerebral just like whatev Ive done all this before. (the Playoffs and being MVP)

Thats Kobe in all his essence.

(Plus Kobe acts older than his age, thus the old man version.)

When was the last time you saw him excited like Lebron gets before every single game with his “Jesus Chalk” pose.

Watch the video again. You’ll get it.

Ali Hassani May 12th at 3:52 pm

They totally made fun of his chalk thingy, about time someone realized how ridiculous it is

Brian Butteris May 13th at 9:57 pm

Ali it may look ridiculous but it pumps up the fans. The Pistons need someone to pump of the fans. Maxiell cant do it all himself. We need someone to jumpstart the team.

One-Take Davis May 14th at 6:56 am

I second Brian. The Chalk think is hype.

Its Lebron’s signature just like Deven was talking about in the Uncut episode.

Tiger has the fist pump.

Jordan has the jumpman.

Lebron has the arms out after the chalk.

I have affecionately named it the “Jesus Chalk” pose.

Ali Hassani May 14th at 6:45 pm

God I love this commercial, it never gets old.

John W. Davis May 14th at 6:50 pm

Great isnt it!

Brian Butteris May 14th at 9:29 pm

I look forward to watching the Cavs pregame. Lebron and his chalk. The whole team usually has a cool lil intro skit or something. my all time favorite is Lebron with the camera.

One-Take Davis May 15th at 6:49 am

Its called the “Jesus Chalk”.
