I personally would rather trade Maxiell because Kwame does a better job of rebounding and clogging the lane - not to mention he could be a huge asset at the trade deadline because of his contract. With the current economic state, I'm sure you'd be able to get a very good player in a salary dump for Kwame alone. That is, if the pistons cheap management finally decides to spend some luxury tax money.

Maxiell offers a better offensive package, but he also is considerably undersized (height wise) and can only match up with bigs without a midrange game. Not to mention he's always been a mediocre defensive rebounder - he likes to do his job on the offensive boards. While that's a good skill to have, we already have tons of firepower and guys like Jerebko and Washington have shown to be great put back guys.

@Ali I would give up Kwame Brown all day to get Okafor. Hell I would trade Rip and Kwame Brown for him!

He is the closest player to Ben Wallace (in his prime) in the league!

Emaka Okafor has just been traded to the Hornets for Tyson Chandler. I'm really surprised that this went through for 2 reasons.

1. Okafor has a long term contract
2. LB would get a lot less production from an unhealthy Chandler than he would from Okafor

I wish the pistons could have at least made a play for Okafor. A trade without giving up Brown (he produces above his contract) would have just about solved all their post defense and rebounding holes.
