One-Take Davis has a new name… Uno-Take Davis!

I would like to thank the card game UNO and Chad Ochocinco for my inspiration!

I don’t have that big of a problem with Detroit’s options at center. Granted, I’d like a Dwight Howard or a healthy Greg Oden starting instead, but this is reality.

As of now I want Kwame to start as I think he’s a good defensive fit next to the the offensive-minded CV. Wilcox is better offensively and, along with Gordon, should be better off the bench.

I wanna see how Big Ben plays before making a judgment call on him. He did start for the best team in the league last season before all the injuries.

Brian (Butterz) August 27th at 9:27 pm

I love it John!!!

One-Take Davis August 28th at 2:55 am

I KNOW WHICH COUNTRY STAR BRIAN LOVES!

Brian August 28th at 12:57 pm

John, Taylor Swift is way better than Tim McGraw. Deven and John, you guys should make an album of all the awesome songs you guys made up off the top of your heads.

One-Take Davis August 29th at 7:50 am

Brian I clearly said I like Taylor Swift’s song named “Tim McGraw”.

Clearly you are not up on Taylor Swift like I am.

Brian (butterz) August 30th at 1:08 pm

Now if you two “Sheila’s” are done talking about your favorite pop/country singers, maybe we can get back to Piston talk. Unless we’re talking about Amy Winehouse!

But as far as the centers go, I would like for “Coach Q” to start Big Ben, at least for the first five games, just to get his confidence back and get everyone including the team fired up early. (Almost nothing rattles a visiting team more than a hype crowd.) Then, Coach Q could alternate the starting center for the best match up against the other centers in the league. For example, he could use (the younger centers) like “K.B.” against the “less active” starting centers in the league since he needs the most work and experience, and sub “C-Wil” in to do easy damage against the second teir centers, while (the older) Big Ben can start against the (also older) Shaq’s and (injury prone) Yao’s in the league when you need more defense. I just hope he can stay healthy himself.

John W. Davis September 1st at 12:34 pm

I agree Ben Wallace starting at the Palace would rattle any team!

Ben would be out their like it was 2004 probably blocking everything in sight for about 6 mins!

One-Take Davis September 2nd at 7:41 am

Uno-Take thinks the assistant coaches actually believe Jonas Jerekbo will also play center and even Jason Maxiell!!!!

Astrid should love that.

Astrid September 2nd at 12:15 pm

Not sure about Jonas, Maxiell is good!!!

He got so shafted on his deal. Got a 4 year deal and then got like 6 minutes of playing time. I think he can contribute is all - like a Paul Millsap off the bench. He’s not as polished, but I just love seeing him crash the boards, the flying elbows (i.e. OUT MY WAY) and the slam. :D

John W. Davis September 2nd at 4:03 pm

Difference is Paul Millsap can score Maxiell… not so much.

mwatson1105@yahoo.com September 2nd at 5:56 pm

He sure can dunk tho!
