It’s hard to tell, but for his sheer scoring presence, Ben Gordon looks to take the slight edge over Charlie Villanueva in being the better off-season pickup.
Oh, and totally off-topic from Episode 130, but I hear the Pistons are inviting Chucky Atkins to training camp. If that’s the case, I like it; but only if he’s the third string point guard. 1.) Stuckey 2.) Bynum 3.) Atkins.
The young guys need to play and improve. Hopefully Chucky will be another veteran to help the younger players grow (like Lindsey Hunter) and can also give some solid minutes on the court.

I’ve said for quite a while that the pistons should bring back isiah to mentor stuckey, but clearly there was some kind of rift between him and Mr. D (bless him). Regardless, he’s out of the question now in Florida I believe.
IMO we’re better off having the empty roster spot than a guard who wouldn’t make the rotation. I’d rather leave that open for more trade possibilities.

I would have to think about a tall guard but you know there has to be a Charlie Bell type of player in Europe somewhere. Thats Joe D’s job to scout these guys and not pickup sloppy 3rd stringers like Atkins.

Oh and I think c-vill was the better pickup simply because we need his position,particularly with the loss of sheed.Gordon is really clutch tho so thatl b nice late in close games
