Pistons (Finally) Ready To Trade Rip Hamilton

A source close to the situation told FanHouse the Pistons are committed to trading Richard Hamilton by the upcoming offseason.

Hamilton, who turns 32 next month, has three more years left after this one at a total of $34 million.

Why not him and Tay before the deadline? We’d get more for them anyway and any contender would benefit from his off-the-ball movement. Cavs would take him on if we were able to do a 3 team deal (since I don’t want any of their bigs).

@ Astrid I cant just tell you from England.

And your trade… I made that one up last year!!! I support that trade.

@John - Yeah I thought about that but at this point if we were able to acquire a big man for the long term, using everyone’s 2010 free agency as a springboard, it would be better then getting to the playoffs to get swept. I don’t care if the cavs are better this year but it does make a difference for next (when Shaq will be 500 years old). If we can make the playoffs this season great but we’re not accustomed to the 1st round being an accomplishment so it won’t make a difference anyway.
