Playoffs.
Whilst young talent is good, we have a fair bit of it as it stands. If they get playing time in the playoffs, that experience is important.

I say if the playoffs in there to make then make it, getting a top draft pick is not going to turn us around our problems are way deeper than that, the playoffs will and shud make our yung players a lil betta.. besides if were # 7 and Orlando is #2 we’ve owned them ova da pass few years so i’ll take my chances lol… if we do make the playoffs that must mean where starting to play a lil betta

As my favorite philosopher DK often says, “Are you CRAZY!” We can sit out the playoffs one more year to get a top 7 pick. The perfect season - Pistons miss the playoffs and win the lottery, while McDyess and the Spurs win it all.

And what exactly would be the point of the Pistons making the playoffs? I say take the top 7 draft pick.

Good to see the ‘cast back!
I have to agree with your sentiments on Afflalo, at least how solid he was.
I dunno whether I’d say we should keep ‘em — I mean, I’m so happy for him in Denver. One of my favorite players. :]

Not looking good on the trade front… I don’t get why Joe D wouldn’t go for SOMEONE at this point..
Knickerboker fans are getting on damn nerves right now with their ideal that they are contenders with two superstars who’s idea of defense is waiting for the other team to score so they can play basketball again. Also the ‘LeBron was afraid of the big lights but Melo wasn’t’ argument is irking me to no end since no one else who struck out on the ‘BronStakes needs to try and make it more than he just didn’t want to come here.
rant over.

I’m very disappointed with Detroit with their “protest” against coach Q last night. Now, if this protest was to get Rip on the floor, then atleast they’re backing a teammate and trying to help this team make a playoff push. But if it’s to get him fired, then I think we should suspend the players who are involve indefinately. From what I read, Tmac and Tay had legitimate reasons for not playing. Very disrespectful.
Speaking of RIP. I’ve been backing this dude for a couple seasons now on Pistonscast. And to hear that we couldn’t trade him was because he didn’t want to buyout his contract is selfish. Sure, nobody wants to play in Cleveland. Mo Williams is thanking the basketball gods that he’s outta there. Too bad for Baron Davis though. I think I’m finally starting to see the light with this dude. I guess he doesn’t want to play that bad, huh?

The worst part about the rumored buyout was that he didn’t have to be on the Cavs and could have taken his money and rolled with a contender immediately. That’s plain dumb since he would have made the remainder over the the time he would have in his contract and not be hurt by the CBA. F*** Rip.
This ‘protest’ crap isn’t cool and is disrespectful to us the fans in that it doesn’t respect us. I get up regularly at 3am to watch Pistons games and that’s nothing compared to the hell the city of Detroit is in. Sports provide a service and they aren’t respecting what that means. This is the first time in my life I don’t have much to say in defense of my team and if it were up to me the team would be gutted and built from the ground up. I’m so sick of the ownership issue that I’d rather the NBA, NFL, NHL, YMCA or Obama administration take over until it can be ironed and allowing for moves.
SIX DAMN PLAYERS PLAYED LAST NIGHT…. SIX.
NOT cool.
